Below is a small sample of other Canadian pottery pieces. Many of them are often mistaken by sellers and collectors as BMP.
Sometimes the glazes are very similar and the moulds identical to BMP. Potters and moulds frequently migrated to different potteries throughout Canada. I even found a BMP diving dolphin mould being used by a pottery local to me in Lincolnshire, England. The owner had worked in Canada in the 70's Click HERE to see photo
Canadian Ceramic Craft, commonly referred to as CCC, was started by a former employee of the Blue Mountain Pottery, Mr Dennis Tupy in 1960.

Rainbow Ceramics - Collingwood, Ontario. was started in 1966 by Dennis Tupy and T.J Lloyd and continued until the mid 1980's. It was basically a continuation of CCC.

A Rainbow Ceramics Sea lion with a different hang tag. Catalogue #150

Pine Pottery was started by Mike Jaroch in the early 70's in the building first used by Denis Tupy at CCC.

Huronia Pottery was started by Tom Hrcek, a Czech immigrant to Canada. Mr. Hrcek first worked at Blue Mountain Pottery. Huronia Pottery closed in the 1970's.
Here is an excellent example of mould migration. A nice candy stripe BMP bird, the same bird in a pewter glaze and a blue glaze from the Huronia Pottery and another example in a blue / green glaze on white clay. (manufacturer unknown, possibly Wyatt)

Here we have a Huronia deer (7"x7") in a mould that was also used by BMP

When Dominic Stanzione left BMP in the 70's he started his own Pottery company in Collingwood, Ontario.

Canadiana Pottery was based in Ingleside, Ontario. One of their popular glazes was a combination of red, brown and white. They used both red and white clay in their pieces.
The white puppy is from the collectables range. The label on this one has a typing error as it should read 'Canadiana Pottery'
