Peter M from Canada

Not long after we had started our BMP collecting, my wife Loxie called me from a store where she had found a number of BMP, PLUS an odd thing on a piece of wood titled "playtime", momma bear sitting with baby bear up a tree. I recalled seeing the Robert Wilson collection on your site and told her to buy me an early birthday present.

Later on, I drove over to the store and was astounded to find about 36 pieces of BMP all with original tags, boxes & duplicated in Cobalt blue & green glazes. When the shopkeeper offered a 15% discount I bought everything !!So I now doubled our collection by adding bison(270,271)elephants(181)frogs(628)swans(41,42,149)whales(412)howling wolves(409,662)turtles(622)dolphins(196)seals(300)moose(658)dolphin tail up(195) BUT it was when I was helping to box the purchases that I noticed a BMP box marked "Surfers IV" on the shelf. Could it be? a truly collectible ROMAR piece waiting to be discovered??? Alas NO, the piece had been broken during a move but the store included the box at no extra cost. So I now have the original box, certificate of authenticity & registration card for figurine #561 out of a worldwide production run of only 570 pieces for mould #757-Surfers IV. If anyone out there is interested in a trade let me know otherwise I'll wait till one shows on ebay or I get truly fortunate enough to find one.
Best wishes to one & all for the new year...Pete & Loxie (middle of canada)
